Please be gentle with me, i havent ridden since mid november and i've been really ill for a month or two in between!

I had a 45 minute lesson at summerhouse EC today. I was taught by a lovely girl named Lauren, who gave me a cracking lesson on a 14.2 horse named Jenson. Just what i needed to buck my confidence up and get me back in the 'mood' for riding again.

We did mostly walk and trot with and without stirrups, and some canter.

Positive points - i am not as bad as i thought i would be, my leg looks to be fairly decent (although not perfect), my sitting trot seems to have improved although i havent been riding

Bad points - my hands are horrendous, i tip forwards, my transitions into canter are not pretty at all, must get jenson more off my leg!

Now for some photos

Well done for getting back into it!! Just think how good it will feel each time you go to a lesson and have progressed, the pictures are great, i ride every day and think if people took pics of me id look tonnes worse! hahaha

thanks, it felt like a really good lesson. I've even rebooked to go back for another lesson next wednesday. Hopefully they might be able to turn me into a dressage rider yet!!

Sorry, only just clicked back onto this thread!
I loved the feeling of "getting back into it" when I came back from my break a couple of years ago, i got so addicted I spent a fortune on lessons!

Well done - you look so intense in your pictures - bet you are so sore tommorow! I realy need to get some lessons, I have only realy ridden once or twice a week since having my baby a year ago, and then its just been bimbling around, a hack or some 'pretend' schooling. I just cant seem to find the courage, time and money all at the same time!
