1st trip out with my trailer is on Sunday!!!

Hi.

As some of u will know, I bought an old rice trailer last month. It has no had it's new floor fitted, been serviced, new lights, new brakes.

I towed it back from trailer place empty. Fine. Did a bit more practice parking, reversing.

I loaded my boy a couple of times. Fine.

So...Sunday, a friend & I are going to tow our 2 boys very locally, literally 4/5 miles for our first outing. Any tips?

(I have towed previously but not for a while)

Next week I shall go further & so on & so on.

1 thing bothering me, apart from parking on a yard or somewhere secure, how do u prevent theft whilst off riding your horse? I will try reverse parking where/when I can!!

How exciting! I got my single in the summer and I love it!

I just make sure that I put all my stuff in the boot like travel boots headcollar etc, my friends trailer is a double so we sometimes go out together and she has a locking key thing on the hitch so it cant be unhitched while its left.

Mine doesnt have that but its quite old and doesnt look very stealable from the outside,

Get a hitch lock so it can't be taken off the vehicle and don't leave anything visible in the car or trailer.
