I used to feed mine Spiller's Youngstock pellets and ad lib hay. Mine were big youngsters and I never experienced any OCD or other growth problems on this diet although my youngsters were growing quickly at times. Worked for me
He's looking great my boys looking good I can't really feed hay as he's in with others and she dosn't feed hers (sad ! ) but grass is ok and big field and bailys said it wouldn't matter.
Ad lib hayledge overnight fair grazing 8 hrs during the day 3 scoops of Feedmark balancer 1 1/2 scoops of speedi beet 1/2 scoop alfalfa mol free 1 scoop of graze on (split over 3 feeds) unrugged
1 scoop Baileys stud cubes with half a scoop of hi fi fed twice a day. ad lib hay but only eats about 16lbs over night. Out during day and stabled at night. Standing about 16h and recently had the weighbridge and nutritionist up. Weighs 521kg. Nutritionist scored him 5. Said he is just right. Not carrying any extra weight but she would like him to come out of the winter slimmer ready for spring grass. To look at most people would think he was lean, he's growing like a weed!
