We are looking for our first lorry and I have seen a few I like but not sure on the length. Those with lorries that can travel 2/3 horses ( 7.5t ) what length are yours and how are they to drive? x

All 7.5t lorries are different!

Each make of horse box and each chassis is different.

All you have to remember is clear your rear axle and you can turn!

I used to have a 7.5t but felt small on the road so as I have got my class 1 I bought a 12m full length HGV much better!

I have a solitaire which is side load. Takes 2 big horses or 3 ponies. Is 21' long.
On an iveco chassis it's lovely to drive.
However, when looking for previous box, I travelled length and breadth of the country and many boxes I found awful to drive and I walked away even though the actual box may have looked superb!
The hardest thing I have found on many is the gear box. And, just because they are a lorry, the gearbox doesn't have to be sticky and hard to engage.
