We had our first outing of the year today to a 2 phase competition in preparation for the first event coming up in a couple of weeks. I’m the support and my daughter Claire is the rider. Molly is an ID who is a little superstar and was very excited to be out competing after a quiet winter. She was a bouncing ball in the warm ups and had a little buck or two to keep her rider on her toes! Took out a stride at one point in the sj, as you can see. Double clear, with a few time faults as she’s not totally fit yet and Claire hacked her round. She was fit enough to still be bouncing at the end mind you!

Boing! The weather looks foreboding in those pics but it might just be the colour! Sounds like a good outing.
The weather was great most of the time, windy but bright, and then some very dramatic black clouds and hail swept across. The venue is right next to the beach with mountains in the background - gorgeous - but the weather can be extreme. We always take a change of clothes for events here!
