Firstly ive started riding my ponio and he is currently unshod. however he is getting sore on front feet but i dont really want to put shoes on him. what r ur opinions on those boots they can wear? (sorry can't think of proper name) good/bad?
also what is a good size for an outdoor school as YO said he might build one! thanks in advance.

Why don't you want to put shoes on your pony?

And if the school is going to be used for general schooling 20 x 40 m is a good size

Why not just have shoes on him?
A standard size is 20x40 but if you have a lot of people who will be using it then a bigger one may be best and I think they are 40x60

my cob was unshod and then he got sore so put fronts on then he got sore behind so had backs put on, ive heard those boots are ok but i thinks its a pain in the butt doin that its easier to have them shod and have new shoes every 8 weeks!!!

i've just got a pair of the Marquis Supergrip ones for my big lad, and they're brilliant. you can have them for 2 weeks' trial for about £40, to make sure they fit and the pony or horse is happy in them, and then that amount is deducted from the price if you decide to buy. they have a bit at the back of the foot which pumps up, to secure them. they fit really well and he's very happy in them. every bit of them is replaceable, including the soles (at a very reasonable price) and i reckon they'll pay for themselves in 3-5 months, compared to regular shoeing. the only problem i had was that the first pump they sent didn't work properly, but they replaced it for free and now it's very easy to pump them up. i got mine from equestrianselect, and i've used them about 20 times now, with no problems.

we have the cavallo ones for our retired boy who still goes for hacks and walks but is mainly out munching. they are really good and he can go over really stoney ground without the slightest bother with them on. they dont sound as high tech as the ones KERILLI is describing tho!
