I've got a 2 year old who is the worlds slowest eater, he doesn't quid but takes forever to eat his supper. Today I had a really good look at his teeth and its hard to explain but his top outer front two teeth both look as though they are split across, but he can't have broken both sides, surely?
I think I will get the vet out to have a look but any ideas what it might be?

They won't be broken, just adult teeth capped by the baby ones!
The outer ones grow through first, but the baby teeth sometimes get stuck in place as they don't see as much 'action' as the very front ones.

Your vet or equine dentist can knock them off.

last yr my three yr old took an age to eat and is still changing teeth now, get the vet to check them but should be normal and they do go through stages of changing. I have to be careful riding her.
