OK, now that the 2007 season is well and truely behind us, who is thinking of using what next year? I'm still trying to get my mare herd sorted out, and have used quite a few maidens this time so should really wait until they have foaled to see what they produce before choosing, but.. It's always nice to be thinking ahead!

Has anyone more organised than me made a shortlist yet? What sort of mares are we all using?

We are using some of our Romeo frozen semen on a couple of mares, we will be using Helios, Teddy and George on the majority of the mares. I also have a dose of vechta and Ousbek frozen semen that we will be using and we are in discussion about using Its the Business on one mare as well!

I suppose what exactly you want to breed is more to the point, although, i have a really talented TB jumping mare and fancy for 2009 O'Combo De L'eau, (Concorde / Samber ). Coloured jumping stallion whos appears to be showing good form, frozen AI but reasonably priced (I Think Anyway). Stumbled across him whilst looking at Marius Claudius.
Mines currently in foal with her 2nd and I'd like to leave her at three so im planning on a really exceptional one to finish.
But just my opinion!

I am planning to use flemmingh or obelisk on my ferro mare.
 
Wow, hes really nice, Is he out of a coloured mare? Mines not coloured, although I would rather like one, wishful thinking eh? Whats his temperament like?
 
Yes he is by a coloured kwpn mare, he seems very sweet, i have only heard good things about o'combo's temperament so hopefully he will be like his dad (fingers crossed)!
