Me, I think it would be perfect if Princess Anne did . . . not only is she an Olympic competitor (not to mention European champion of her chosen sport) but she is a princess . . . it would be kind of cool if Zara did it with her (her achievement of holding both European and World Eventing Championship in the same year is phenomenal). Failing that, you'd be hard pushed to argue with Sir Steve Redgrave . . . five consecutive Olympic golds in the same discipline . . . so that's 20 years of winning.

What do you think? Who gets your vote?

Do you think Seb Coe might nominate himself? He was a pretty phenomenal runner whose world record stayed for years and years. I think Steve Redgrave must be one of the favourites.

Don't think it would be fair for Zara to do it, she is (so far) not an Olympian. Mary King would be right up there based on achievements, but despite what she's done I don't think she's high profile enough outside of eventing :( Princess Anne is a good idea, or the obvious choice, Sir Steve Redgrave. Not necessarily the right choice but I could see it being David Beckham simply because even in the farthest flung corners of the world people know who he is.
