Poor things it looked dreadful. Later news says it is looking like its something toxic in the feed, there was a case years ago here when a selinium nozzle got blocked and eventually released too much into a batch of feed, also polo ponies affected. Most of the geldings were PTS but a couple of mares survived, it was not nice.

According to one of the players of the team it seems to have been the vitamin supplement they gave prior to the match. The five horses that wasn't given it did not show any symptoms.
