Got double barrelled by one of the sanest horses on the yard. Hard enough to sit me down, but not hard enough to really hurt. Just below the boobs, so that was pretty fortunate. Managed not to let go of other horse I was leading but sat there shaking my free fist and yelling "Hijo de P*ta!!!" Probably just as well the owner wasn't there as he would've complained that I'd illtreated his horse!! YM saw it happen then wouldn't let me go catch him (even though I was absolutely fine)
Another horse somehow managed to get his hind leg over the rope with which I'd tied him up and got himself into a right tizz before I got him loose. Thank God I'd tied him with a proper quick release knot (as demonstrated by Burtie I believe) Fabian came in to work despite possibly being suspended and very kindly mucked out the 13 beds (my lower lip was quivering at the prospect!!)
Less shattered than yesterday, but will sleep very, very well tonight!

I hope Fabian is being paid; he sounds like a really nice chap.
I am glad you weren't hurt, and actually that someone responsible saw what happened. The horses there do sound rather unruly and quite dangerous.
 
OMG! Poor PF, sounds like you are doing a sterling job! Rather you than me, and I hope you rewarded yourself with a big glass of the red stuff when you got home. How many days have you got to go?
 
poor you it must be so much hard work without Fabian! He sounds like a really nice man! I hope he is not suspended! Hope all is better today for you! Good luck rather you than me! I sit behind a desk in an office all day and that is tiring enough! lol
 
Horses are only unruly because they don't get any exercise and are shunted from stable to tree and back again

Bloody owners! I was leading 2 because they're so quiet usually, Tango went a bit doolally and I gave him a telling off which seemed to work then he whipped off and I let go of leadrope. Probably just as well because if I'd hung on I expect he would've caught me full force.
