Dressage day today
Alarm went off again at 6am
& with Spider cleaned, plaited & loaded we set off to Towerlands again.
We were doing P13 for the novice team qualifier.
Spider warmed up well. Def helped that he'd been here yesterday, although he was very disapointed not to see any jumps
He tensed up a bit as he went in, but as the test went on he started to relax. His canter work was especially good, as was the free walk. I was pleased with him as he seems to get better each time he goes out. I'm sure it wont be long before I get the same trot work in the test that I get at home & in the warm up.
He got 62% & finished 12th in a section of 26. The other team members finished 6th, 6th & 20th, so my score was counted & the team finished 5th.
Not good enough to qualify. The winning team had two 1st & a 3rd - well done them, but we were all pleased.
I then spent 3 hours scoring, so we had all the morning classes scored & results up within 30 mins of the last competitor going
Great weekend, although I sadly didn't get to see Finn McCoul or Nats UK
I'm feeling especially happy as this time tomorrow I'll be on a plane to Cyprus, to visit my friend who lives there, until Saturday
No pony's for a week, but they'll both have a chilled week being hacked a few times my YM & a friend.
