I'm thinking of buying an Equitrek as, when I borrowed a friend's, I found my horse travelled much better in it than my Ifor Williams. I don't need living so it'll be a Space Trekka. It'll be second hand and towards the older end as I can't really afford to pay much more than I get for my 510. I'm in no hurry though as I already have a trailer so can wait for the right one in the right area.

I've done a bit of research and have read about axel problems with the older Show Trekkas, but haven't found much on Space Trekkas. OH will be coming with me and is pretty good at basics and I've budgeted for a full service once I've bought it but it would be handy to know if there's anything I need to be extra vigilant for?

Ive had mine for years and love it. Look for minor things, i had to change where the door catch on the day living was as it wasnt level.
Check the pin for the partition goes all the way in to the holes, one of mine doesnt go all the way through but i dont use that hole so not a big deal for me but might be for others

I had one the Equitrek Space Trekka L from new. Loved it and horses travelled well but we had to get one of the axles replaced as well. Overall build quality was a little iffy but we got ours right at the high demand for them.
We needed to put in extra roof whirly vents when travelling two horses. We also had issues with the ramp and needed to get something replaced with it but cant remember what now possibly new springs? Check the ramp carefully as rotten wood can be hidden by the rubber.
