Decided to go in search of two good quality second hand close contact jumping saddles instead of spending a bomb on one new saddle which will only fit one horse - so my question is, which saddles are best second hand?? and where other than local tack shops can you recommend getting hold of good quality ones from??

I bought a Close Contact Bates saddle off Ebay. It was virtually new & came with a pair of Bates leathers & a set of irons. It was about half the price of buying new at a saddlers. Obviously a Bates can be adjusted by changing the gullet. I'm very pleased with it.

Ive got a prestige paris K for sale- its a single flap close contact saddle with long girth straps. Oli Townend uses the same make on Flint Curttis! Only thing is its a tobacco colour... but can be adjusted to fit any horse by a Prestige dealer.. its 17.5 inch, or a 17, will have to check!
