Hi there, I'm new to posting, but thought this was the best place to ask 😊

Does anyone have a small 2nd hand theraplate for sale?

I've been looking in fb but they want too much for second hand, I know someone who got a new big one for 7k last year, so fb prices are too high and are out of my range anyway, considering there is no warranty with them.

I know someone who was selling one in the midlands. PM me if interested and I’ll see if it’s still available/ put you in touch.

Every fb link I post on here ends up being in German too so it's obviously just a forum thing 😂

Sorry OP I don't know of any for sale. Not something I would ever use as think they are a gimmick with no true use - soz 🙈🙈

I viewed a potential livery place last year where a weekly theraplate session was part of the package.

The horse in it had his two feet on the right side on the plate and the two on the left side stood on the 3 inch wide block of wood filling the gap between the plate and the wall.

If they did do anything, I dread to think what that was achieving.

Like you I think they are just a gimmick and if not, then you might as well just take the horse for a drive.

Hiya thank you, is it a small one? I don't want a big one 😊
No expert (I’m not sure what the whole theraplate thing is tbh!). You could stand a whole horse on it so assuming from what people are describing here, that’s a big one? It was £4 or £5k I think and has been used by a professional rehab yard.

I'd think very carefully before using one as I've heard a professional say that they can cause injury to articular cartilage.

It hurt my body too much to use the one my partner bought me years ago so I can imagine if you have arthritis it could cause more harm than good.

Thank you, no I don't want that size, it's too expensive as well. The plate is much more comfortable than the vibration foot plate on my knees and lower leg, hence looking.

Everyone will have an opinion on them, I feel it helps me better hence my post 😊

I can see why they could work better with a 2 legged animal who can't brace than with a 4 legged animal who can. I hope you find one.
