Today i had my second training session with Joss at his yard. It was a nice early one at 9am so had to leave around 8am.
At 3:30am tho I wasnt feeling much like a lesson suffering with sickness
Hey ho got up at 6am and headed to the yard.
I havent been able to ride all week due to weather and work commitments although he has been lunged twice it wasnt the best prep.
Hey ho, we arrived at 5 minutes to 9am (still suffering
) quickly tacked up and Joss was teaching.
Last week we worked on courses this week was working on two fences on a 20 mtre circle.
Started over poles on the floor, then x poles onto small uprights to a slightly bigger up right then he popped a blue filler in which snoop jumped but made a real leap lol and waved his front legs up past his ears lol I have it on video so funny!
Then he popped the fences slightly higher again and then put them low to finish off the exercise.
At the end Joss just added a further fence 4 strides away i had to pop up over that before riding down to the two fences at the bottom of the school and then come up 4 strides out. Really useful exercise getting me to ride as soon as i land (as i tend to dwell and only start riding about 3 strides after i land
)
Just a few pics too
Hope you like - his face at the blue filler is so funny, hes not a spooky horse by nature but he decided it needed a look even so.
Thanks for reading
Scary blue think
Not so scary now
Final fence
Small video of us just doing the two and final line.
