My 2y Welsh Sec C has been doing brilliantly (just v basic schooling in hand) until the last 3 weeks...teeth coming through! I can’t actually see any yet but he has hard lumps under his jaw & is always opening his mouth, like yawning &. Sticking his tongue out. He is resisting a normal headcollar is really grumpy when schooling in his monty Roberts ... it of course is a pressure one & I do try not to allow it to tighten. I see him wrinkle his nose (annoyance/pain) when schooling, and he is now very unhappy even being gently face stroked....I just left him today. I do not want to antagonise him so I’m thinking is it best to just let his teeth come though more & forget his schooling for a while, I don’t want to cause him pain or annoy him. Also is there anything to alleviate the pain? Is it worth anything of the natural pain killers? I have ropes for him which he likes, he doesn’t like his ball, but I really hate how he’s changed so quickly to being obviously to being in a lot in pain. Vet looked at him last week & said all isok, teeth just must still be in the gums and descending. TIA

By schooling I’m talking walking in hand, learning start & stop & over, back basics.... manners which I expect in a 2yo, Bute yeah I might check on that

Would not use a dually if hes teething. Maybe just let him be a horse for a while. If hes got basic manners to be caught and lead if nec just leave him be.
