My rising 2yo seems to have an issue with bashing his head on everything, its almost like he doesnt see whats infront of him and moves his head and careers into whatever is in the way. He never seems to be in pain with it, though hes given himself some nasty bumps and grazes.
I wondered if it was his eyesight wasnt so sharp but ive done various things to check and hes very responsive to them and his eyes seem totally fine.
Tonight he was walking to his stable and had his head turned to the side, looking at my mare and walked straight into a wall! this isnt the first time but tonight he really gave himself a crack.. has a little lump but again seems no worse for wear.

So, does anyone elses little ones have absolutely no spacial awareness? or should i be worried?

Yes! Mum's TB has been like this since we got him as a 2 year old. He is now 11, and last whacked his forehead 3 weeks ago! He is a perfectly normal, healthy horse, but has cracked his head on so many things over the years that he has a few scars now :(. He just seems to be a bit clumsy in the spacial awareness department. If it's a not the corner of a stable door that he knocks, it's a fence, or a gate! :p
