Does anyone do this? I really want to sort some transport out, and ideally would like a 3.5 ton horsebox. I can't find any for under £10k which is a bit out of budget at the moment! The only cheaper ones are the transit van version which I don't think look very good (Correct me if I'm wrong!).

I wondered if any companies lease boxes, like you can lease a car for business or personal use? By the month, year, whatever...I'm in Kent.

Trailer is another option but would involve buying a 4x4, trailer and test, or could take a LGV test and get a bigger lorry as they seem to be a lot cheaper than 3.5 ton. But to be honest I'd prefer to drive a smaller lorry than a big one or a trailer.

Any advice much appreciated!

The only ones I have seen tend to be £600+vat min to £2000+vat per month then deposit in case you damage it which is usually around £1000, then a mileage restriction on top.

Those old transits with the IFORS on the back are fine just basic and when you horse eats the hay your tack usually gets a dusting on the luton.

To be honest you are better to try to get something that you can use and own rather than rent and not get anything back from it.

3.5t and 7.5t if you are buying one check the unladen weight! No good buying something that you can literally put a shetland on and hope it can drive itself as it will be over weight.

You should find something out there with that sort of budget quite easily
