Hi All

Im stuck - I want a little box that I can drive on a normal licence, and am struggling to find a decent one which doesnt cost the earth! all others seem to be falling to pieces! any ideas as to where to look?

I've had the same thing and ended up getting one on finance throught charlton horseboxes and peregrine finance.now I've made the decision I am so excited. Had a terrible accident 2weeks ago& trailer flipped on motorway and horse trapped so now I'm not thinking about cost just thinking safety safety safety! Good luck x

Think they are like gold dust as so many people looking as ther's 12 years of drivers out there that can't drive anything over. I have a 7.5T horsebox which I drive with L plates and am doing C class soon so I can drive anything solid and not worry

I bought an old one for £700 the took the back off and put onto a newer chassis - it's an R reg and cost roughly £2500. Bargain I think!! Although still needs spraying and a bit of tarting up. As long as the floor is sound then even if they are shabby a pain job will make a massive difference!!

Travel Two are really good. I got my box through her (well kind of) she knew someone who was selling her 3.5 ton van conversion. Whats your budget? Also if you can go for a Renault Master as the floor is lower than any other make which makes for a smoother ride for the horse.

obviously safe is the most important thing, having a friend who had a horse go through a floor of a well used and maintained lorry, you cant be too careful, but have to be honest budget is a cheap as I can get it!!! my folks are buying it for me - ideal would be structurally sound but in need to work, OH would like to take on a little project to keep him busy for a few weekends, does this box exist??
