They can be a little top heavy and not great for bigger horses , price is what its worth to you maybe worth looking for simalar on ebay horse deals etc to get a rough idea what they sell for..

I bought a very sound 7.5 tonne (3 horse) V reg - with basic facilities for £3.5K last year. I suspect that lower tonnage are more expensive, as considered easier drives - but possibly worth looking at larger non HGV's......

Last summer i got a C reg 3.5 tonne similar inladen weight to yours. Only takes to ponies though.
But she is great i only paid 750 for her spent about 75 for a few bits when i got her and 100 to get through the mot 6 weeks ago so now has another year on her. SHes great my first lorry and has been out nearly every weekend since i got her and more in the school holidays. She starts every time (apart from the time i left the lights on and the one time i forgot to turn the isolater off:o typical).
I had a horsebox man check her all and he said shes in really good nick and obviously well looked after.

About 3k with a long MOT and tax. But I wouldn't travel more than one in it unless they are very small. Partly cos of weight, partly cos of them being top heavy, take corners very slowly.
