I'm looking to purchase a 3.5t horsebox and would love any advice please. Im currently torn between Boss, ICE and Bloomfields. It would need to travel one 16.3hh horse and i'd like it to have separate living with hob/sink and a horse wash. My budget is approx £30,000 inc VAT. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Have you seen them in the flesh. Looked at Bloomfields last year and thought they looked good but went for a CL optimax trailer for a fraction of the price and no weight problems for multiple horses in the end!

Are you able to drive this on a normal car licence? I think anything more than a single trailer and I'll be overweight with my 4x4

Hi, I have a Boss 3.9t box and I love it. The team at boss are really helpful, I got to pick the layout inside (I went for a little kitchen and seating at the back with tack storage to the side). It is very solidly built and my horses travel so quietly in it. I also have front and rear sensors and cameras which I'm so glad about as I have a narrow driveway onto the road from my house/stables.

HI, have a Bloomfields 3.9, love it. I had it done for one huge horse, and the ramp behind the driver. This meant that I have a "spare" side, so half is a huge tack locker accessible from the outside, and half is a separate toilet/rug room accessible from the living.

For what you want though (hob/sink/horse wash) then a new one would, I think, come n over budget. They are really friendly though, and can often work something out, like an older chassis.

I had a look at ice- they look nice but I don't like the way the partition attaches to the breast bar. TBH I preferable a calpasable breat bar and seperate grooms area with no solid wall under the breastbar I hope that makes sense!

I had a boss till we sold it last May... they hold value really well . Well built and after care is second to none...they will build to your requirements, I had a Renault master chassis, n a long wheel base and had 1200 kg payload, have travelled a huge 17.2 in it with no problem.. they are well worth having a look at the,...
