Long story - we recently bought a 3.5t chaigley weekender thinking it would be able to carry to horses, After going to a weigh bridge we realised not!
We are now swapping it for a brand new chaigley duo ( built with new lighter and stronger materials) the total weight (with partition and spare wheel) is just a tiny bit over 2.1t giving us 1.4t to play with!
2 horses 1.1t (horses 16.2 and 16hh TB's)
2 people 150kg (at the most)
150kg for tack, water and other bits
I think we will just do it! We are going to get it full loaded with horses etc and weighed and if needs be we will upgrade to 3.9t which will cost about £600
If anybody would like to see what it will look like, a new version of this: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1299972.htm
