Does anyone know of a company in the south east that sells 3.5t horse boxes?

Also would it take a 17hh WB (on it's own) both size wise and weight?

Good/Bad points of 3.5t lorries?

Thanks

There is a prime horseboxes in Rudgwick area? I think with regards to weight it depends how much is weighs unladen. I think you'd need one that was under 2.2T unladen really to allow for fuel, horse, tack etc

There is a guy at our yard who rents a workshop and he builds 3.5t horseboxes which can be driven on a car licence. He is called Rees Horseboxes and we are in West Malling.

Cool, do you have a website or phone number? Do you know what price they start at - we were looking at second hand ones as the new ones are quite expensive

Will ask him tonight and PM you. I think price wise he is around £11k that is for a brand new body built on an older chasis ranging from 01 plates upwards and usually on a Renault. Is that too much?

lol my mum has our 3.5tn for sale that takes two 17.2hh/18.2hh- cant remember which(really spacey horse area) but hence no living.. niec little box but i've gone to college and go with a friend now..

Live in Hastings..

But apart from that don't know any dealers soz... hrose mart and that might be a help xx

A bit but would be interested to know what that price would get us so if you could ask that would be great. We've seen some for that price but they are the van conversions rather than the lorry and they seem to recommend nothing over 16hh because of the head room i think
