3.5t Horsebox Wanted

I need your help!

I have been looking for a 3.5tonne horsebox for the best part of a year- I have been round the country, seen all types and ages of boxes in all manner of condition and heard every excuse known to man for every fault, defect and foible you can imagine!

What I really need is a second hand lorry dealership with a good selection of boxes- does anyone have any clue if this exists?!

It all depends on your price bracket. Unfortunately, good second hand 3.5t boxes hold their price pretty well.

I understand that these boxes hold their prices, I have saved enough to buy a good middle of the range box. However I have had my fingers burned with what the private sector believes their boxes are worth. I have seen an F reg LDV which is knocking on 200,000 miles is not worth £4k advertised as 90,000 miles good box barned stored...! nor is a ford transit which requires a new chassis and cab advertised as had work done now in pristine order....!
Another had a battery acid leak which has worn away at the bodywork and engine mountings...I don't know how I find them!

If it is suitable people think they are worth far more than their market value, because of what they are worth to them.

This is why i think a horsebox 'dealership' would be more suitable.

Is that misguided?

If anyone has a box to sell I would be more than interested in looking at it...

My price range is upto about £4k. Obviously more for the right box, preferably in East Anglia (Suffolk/ Norfolk).
