I currently have a 7.5t box which my mum drives, sadly doesnt look like I will get a class 2 due to medical reasons so looking to possibly sell my box and get a decent 3.5t with sleeping for 2.
Horse is 16.1/16.2h modern warmblood type (ie no bone!) I would only need to travel her on her own so payload shouldnt be an issue? Although ideally looking for 1000kg! Any recomendations for boxes which sleep 2, ideally with luton, then bench seating/sink/fridge and little tack locker? Ive seen Ascot online which look like they have everything I require but not sure on how well they wear, after service etc.

I have a Boss XS 3.5t which I love and has pretty much what you need. Expensive, unfortunately yes, however after an episode of my horse trying to get out whilst travelling I cannot believe how good the build quality is on it. I think they do a slightly bigger version but with mine, I can get a roll mat and sleep behind the seats as there is a gap there, it is tight but perfectly do - able. Mine has a payload of 1080kg and also has a bench, sink and hob in the back, space under seats for a mini fridge if I wanted it and has a power outlet think (can't remember the name of it). Also has space over luton which I think you could sleep on. I looked at loads before getting mine and am so glad I went for it. Customer service was fab and the box itself is amazing, so much storage space and stood up to a 16.2 tb trying to kick his way out remarkably well with only cosmetic damage (horse now never travelling in it again!) Hope this helps!

I have a Boss XL so a size up from Rlister, they are brilliant lorries and very very well built. There is no comparing the quality compared to my last one. I have the 5 seater cab so the second row can unfold to make a single bed. It has a sink, small hob, horse wash/hose and is a brilliant one horse lorry. I would happily stay away in it with a camp bed or two in the horse area too. There is also Theault who has a similar design to the Boss cab but with fold down bunks, so sleeping for two but they do make Boss look cheap. I have also seen a Foxy Twin online with separate living which had a payload I think of 1400!?!
