just put a deposit down for a 3.5t horse box to be built!!! :D

it will have separate living from the horse area with a smev sink/hob and a seat the other side...
would it be ridiculous to put a leisure battery in there somewhere?
and would the leisure batter power a 12v coolbox for a few hours?
 
If you are going to have lights in the box then you will have to have a leisure battery. Do not run lights off the engine battery or you will find yourself stranded somewhere unable to start the engine. I wouldn't go to the expense of a split charge system. Just charge the leisure battery when you need to.

How long a cool box will run off the battery depends on two things. 1) the capacity of the battery (our 3.5t has an 85ah one) and 2) the amount of amps the coolbox draws.
If you send me a link to the coolbox you want I can work out how long it will run for.
