I have £10k to spend but wonder if I am being too ambitious with my budget as I am struggling to find anything. I have therefore started to consider if a conversion might be a more affordable route and would be very grateful for any pointers/recommendations.

Can anyone recommend anyone in the South West (ish) area? Although not wishing to compromise on quality, the most recommended converters do seem to be miles away.

Realistically what can I get for my £10k budget? I was hoping for a no frills, 05/06 plate, 100k miles but I think this is well out of my reach at the moment hence why I am thinking about the converstion option. I am fortunate to have some mechanically minded people in my family who would be able to help my source a base/chassis and wondered if anyone can point me in the right directions for the conversion element?

Sorry if this has been posted already, I have trawled through everything I can find but please point me towards a useful post if I have missed it.

Many thanks!

I got mine from 3 Counties Horseboxes in Tenbury Wells, so kinda in your vague direction!

I know they do basic conversions i.e. make it safe and functional for use but without the expensive extras like a smart paint job, you can do this at a later date.

Might be worth giving them a ring - he was very helpful to me and I've been chuffed to bits with the box, had it for 3 years.

how minded are you family? Juno did a conversion himself and tracked the process on the comp board if they are that keen!?
