Please could anybody recommend any good 3.5T horsebox manufacturers or possibly conversions too?

I would prefer a New Build but would look at good quality, condition 2nd hand as well, or conversions new or 2nd hand.
The vehicle must be less than 8 years old and less than 100,000 miles on the clock, been well maintained in its previous life if a donor vehicle used.
Build quality must be very good, no rough edges or dodgy shortcuts considered.

I am based around the Oxford/Bucks border but will travel to see up to 3 hours away if worth the trip.

There are some manufacturers who have been "named" to me who have their horseboxes made by someone else, and they look to be good quality. Obviously if I could cut out the middleman then there would be a saving to be made I would have thought.

Racemaster built my lorry 2 years ago and its a solid well built 3.5t lorry. I did lots of research on the materials used to increase pay load etc, but after my findings decided to go with Racemaster. They based near Lambourn. Hope that helps!

Bloomfields every time for me!

Had a wonderful box, to my personal spec, all the safety features and more.

I looked at LOADS of manufacturers, but Bloomfields were the ones with the box I thought would be strong enough for my boy, one handed operation, welcoming, cheaper than some (but sadly not cheap!), they really engineer everything, all the certifications, crash tested safety cage.

I could not be more delighted, have a one horse with separate toilet/rug area, small living, huge external tack locker. Lovely paintwork.

You do have a long wait, but that is because they are good.

Another vote for Bloomfields, they are wonderful! The boxes are beautiful and of such a high standard, we went to see a lot when we were looking and they really stood out from the rest. Lovely people too, couldn't do enough to help us and advise. We would have gone with them but as luck would have it a horsebox came up for sale just down the road so we went for that one - but would really recommend them.

Boss are also really good, again lovely lovely people and beautifully made boxes.

I've heard Bloomfields have a VERY long wait list, something like 5 months!!!
We looked at Equihunter a while ago but sadly due to a house move I had to shelve the idea. The build quality was excellent and they were happy for us to visit the factory and see boxes in production. I think it's about 4 - 6 weeks for a none stock horse box.
They are also happy to produce your box as you want it, so you can add on extras to suit you :)
