<font color="brown">Thought I would do 3 in one !!

1. Where would you sell your saddle, ebay or adtrader or both, local tack shop, local paper

2. Waterford bits, is it right that they need to be bigger than the normal sized bit. e.g. take a 6 inch snaffle so would need a 61/2 inch waterford?? If so do you still need the 2 rinkles either side of the mouth ??

3. Finally, how much would you pay for this ? No ridden photos I am afraid. School masterinie, does RDA, been used at riding school, taught people to ride, can work in a lovely outline, jumps anything, brilliant at jumping out hacking, has done cross country (but not with me), totally bomb proof (except ambulances, which I can't blame him for) Brilliant on the ground, does not barge or bite, fine in health, excellent to clip (working on the face issue with clippers !!) excellent to shoe and box, will hack for days. ?? oh is 15.3 hh aged 15 in May (realise this will deflate his value) Gelding, Suffolk Punch cross Cob, VERY good doer, (needs to loose little weight I know!!)

1) I always sell tack at my local tack shop, but then I have a good local tack shop! If you don't go for e-bay and ad-trader at the same time and see who's first.
2) My Waterford is the same size as my eggbutt snaffle and fits lovely.
3) I'm not very good at horse prices I'm afraid because we tend to breed our own, so I won't comment!

sorry I can't answer any of your questions, but i just had to comment on your second photo. I love his expression, what a cool dude, he looks like he has his rollers in!!!!

1. Not on ebay if its any good unless its a good make.
2. Cant help
3. Whatever someone wants to pay - problem is his age but if he is safe then you should be looking for something for him. You've just got to find the right buyer and thats the problem.
Maybe £1000. Try a bit more eg £1500 and see what happens.

First question ebay can be good on a good day but terrible on a bad day..... better to sell for a set price than auction.

Second question, yes the bit should be half a size bigger as otherwise it may pinch the lips.

Third question.............probably between 1 and 2k depends if you get lucky (again) and the right buyer is out there.... he sounds like a saint and 15 isnt exactly ancient is it???

Good luck.... are you selling him then??? :-(

Saddle; if it's a cheapie then go for Freeads; if it is an expensive one then ebay or local tack shop.

Waterfords; you're correct. It is so that it can wrap properly.

Horse; Advertise for £1,200 and hope to get £1,000 or thereabouts.

Local saddler is probably your best bet, unless it's a good make then try ebay.
The same size as your normal bit, I think
I think given the current market you'd get £2000 - £2500, if you're selling him for £1000, I'd have him he sounds lovely

Having just been searching the net for a friend of a friend for a safe, bombproof 15.2-16hh weight carrier type, I would definitely say £2K-2.5K, although his age may work against him. These types are like gold dust!
