31 year old cob rescued - Real Rescues BC1

I just watched that. I don't understand why she wasnt pts there & then? If one of mine was that age & collapsed like she did, I'd take that as them telling me it's time to go... She looked exhausted.
Saying that though, they got her up & the owner said she's "ok".
 
My 30 year old boy was rescued by the same crew three weeks ago after becoming cast in his stable. I cannot praise these guys enough. Here in Hampshire we are very fortunate to have such a dedicated and experienced team. Please don't blame this owner for doing what she thought was right for her horse. I sadly had to let my boy go the next day as he had laid down overnight in the lovely grassy field he had spent the night in and had lost the will to get up again. I don't regret putting him through the rescue at all.
