Me: (having overheard conversation between work colleague and mum) Oh, you have horses?
WC: Yes, a pony. Do you?
Me: Yes, we have a thoroughbred mare, and a gelding.
WC: Oh wow! Is the gelding a boy or a girl?
Me: ................. A boy. A gelding is a stallion without its boy bits!
WC: Oh, I thought it was a breed. That would mean my baby boy is a gelding too. You learn something new every day!
Me: Mmmm....
