Hi!
So I thought I'd take the plunge into the scary world of forums and hopefully drum up some interest.
I'm sure there's a good portion of people on this forum already aware about Prince Fluffy Kareem and the work this team conducts in Egypt. If not, please take a look here at some of the work they've been doing over the past year.
The work this little team of people do was so inspiring, I decided to organise a UK based event for them titled "35 Miles", which involves me cycling 35 miles through Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire - from Blyth (near Worksop) to Lincoln Cathedral.
As it's a charity bike ride, I am looking for sponsorship and a bit of support for my bike ride. It would have been a horse ride, however I don't own a horse and don't know anyone who'd let me borrow one for 35 miles. Anyone is welcome to join me, as long as you give me some notification, on any mode of transport to raise money for any charity you like. I already have £120 worth of sponsorship and am just starting my training in time for October.
On a side line, I'm also collecting bits of old tack and horsey items for use in Egypt, as I have a friend going over within the next few weeks. Items cannot be posted to Egypt due to the huge (and ridiculous) customs charges they have put in place, and so are couriered in by people travelling to the country. My local equine rescue, Bransby Horses Home, has also got a second hand tack shop which I'm going to be buying some bits and bobs from. To purchase these items I've set up a tack fund on the event page.
I know there's a lot of information to take in on this one post, but there's loads more information on my website and the PFK Facebook page. Any questions, please head them my way!
Thanks
