In the last week I've noticed the third eyelid is showing more than it should be on my cob, on both eyes. Its only small (haven't got a pic yet but will add here asap) and there's no lumps or anything that would suggest tumour or infection, but her eyes have been weeping a bit (I know the nasal tube bit isn't blocked). She's kept out 24/7 but I've had her in the stable over night last few days while it was below 0C. I've looked on her companion a shetland and hers are noticable if you pull down the skin a bit but thats how its supposed to be.
Any advice welcomed, thanks.

If it's been icy and her management has changed could she have got a bit dehydrated? That can cause the third eyelid to show.

My mare has always had a prominent eyelid in her right eye. Before I bought her the previous owner had it checked by a vet who said if it had always been there and didn't cause any issues, then it was nothing to be concerned with.
However a sudden appearance of an extra eyelid can be a cause for concern.
I would contact your vet for advise.
