To cut the long story short i have 3 x horses

a 3yo 13hh ( dominat mare)
a 3yo 16.2hh (gelding) always been bottom of the herd, they since my really old mare was pts 2 years ago have been together, same field in winter next to each other in the summer as pony cant take as much grass as the big lad!

now the 3rd has come home rising 17yo 16hh (gelding)

well the 2 x 3yo are in together (Mare and gelding) and new boy next door (gelding)

2 weeks on the little mare is still in season and flirting with the new horse over the fence, lots of squeeling, and the boys when the pony lets them close want to play like boys do only the pony dont want the 3yo near her new crush.

so will things settle or is it 2 x boy n 1 girl is just a pain or eventually will i get to the point were i feel they all get on and my even consider pting them all in together?

My YO mixes mares and geldings, young and old, and we have few problems. The geldings get fed up with the mares and go off to play together, and the mares mooch around doing mare stuff ;D

They should settle in time my mare was turned out with 2 geldings for a few weeks and loved it, she was in control of them poor boys both 16.2 tbs being bossed around by a 14.2 highland pony.
