3yo WB is 15hh - how much more to grow?

Just turned 3yo WB is only 15hh, how much more is he likely to grow?

His mum was 16.2hh and his grandsire was Weltmeyer (i think, he's definitely got Weltemeyer in his breeding) but he seems fairly small at just 15hh ?

Well he should make at least his mum I would have thought.

15h at 3 years old, highly unlikely to make 16h2. I'd guess 15h2, 15h3 if his growth was stunted as a youngster - I'd feed him for optimum mineral and vitamins, a good balancer at the recommended level should do the trick.

Hmmm i was thinking he'd make 16hh at a push...

Thing is he looks pretty much all in proportion but REALLY baby like still, he even has tiny foal like feet still which is quite weird?

My dutch WB was only 15hh at 3 but at 6 shes a good 16.1hh. The breeder told me that WB's often continue growing until they are 7 so I wouldnt worry just yet. But I would make sure you feed him well with good conditioning feeds etc...

Ditto this - warmbloods keep growing for slightly longer!!

Well I'll be happy if he makes 16hh!!

He might be a little too small for B to ride though.

Best leave off breaking him in or anything for another year/18 months then do you think? Let him grow up a bit first?

I had a Weltmeyer son that matured at 15.2hh. He was bought as a foal to make 16.2 but never grew so I bought him as a 3yo. He was a beautiful little horse but actually did most of his growing by 4.

my friend had a 15h WB at 2.5 and he was 17hh at 5!!lol
