4*4 is this safe

Is this a safe 4*4. I don't really understand the braked and un braked. Or loading should it not be one over all weight I don't understand it all.

405 loading weight
2000 max towing weight braked
750 max towing weight unbreaked

Is this ok for double trailer and one 16.2hh heavy mare infoal with foal

It depends what your trailer weighs. The max towing weight of 2000kgs refers to the weight of the trailer and the animals inside it. So say your trailer weighs 1000kgs that leaves you 1000kgs left for the horses. And any tack etc. so you need to work out what the trailer weighs (it will say on it usually) and what the horses weigh.

what's the unbraked and loading weight for when the braked weight us all we need to know. Thanks
 
The "unbraked" refers to the trailer, and it means you cannot tow a trailer weighing more than 750kgs which is standard for an unbraked trailer (in fact its the law). Your trailer will be braked so you can ignore that bit its irrelevant in this instance.

Loading weight I assume refers to what the vehicle can carry inside but hard to say for sure without the context. I am more up on the trailer side of things!
 
Thanks that's great, couldn't get my head around it.
Looking at suzki grand vitara turbo. Seems very reasonable and meant to be good for parts and fuel.
 
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! Wouldn't touch another vitara with a bargepole! Mine had nothing but trouble with the turbo. It cant tow to save its life. Mine struggled to even tow an empty ifor 510.
 
Ah back to the drawing board. I can't afford a new model. So will be something 6/7 year old.
That's doesn't cost a load a week to keep on fuel. As I only go up and down town yo work which is on 2 miles away. Only use when moving horses from field to field and going to stallions and the odd sale. Also don't want it to cost a lot on parts or insurance
The vitara ticked all those boxes, haven't a clue what to go for now.
