4 acres of Agricultural Land- To Rent

You don't need change of use for grazing, but you do need planning permission for stables/school, etc. Whether a moveable field shelter is stables is a moot point - probably depends on local council policy.

If it is agricultural land it may only be a grazing licence which icould be only for 10 months of the year, so as not to create an agricultural tenancy.
Re-seeding is quite expensive if it is not grass land at the moment. Also what are the fences like? If you can only have it on a limited time then you don't want to go and spend a lot of time and trouble fencing.

As for rent - grass keep is around £55 per acre for cattle per year, but horses will be a lot more than that ........

There is quite a lot to look into before you commit.

Thanks
Yes there is a lot to think about. The field has nice thick hedgerow all the way round and is 5 mins from home hence why I'm interested. I had realised that mobile shelters would be an issue, but with the hedging and the acreage they could live out if necessary.
So just unsure whether I need change of use then.
