well Dot's pups are now 4 days old today, the 4 girls are all trying to push themselves about and legs are all straightening out and getting stronger. My wee boy however is very active and growing well but he has a twist in his right hind leg which he's developing a little sore on as he pushes himself around with it rather than the paw. I'm going to give the vets a call and see if we should splint it in some way but I wondered if anyone had any experience of this sort of thing and if they have eventually straightened out ok?

The sooner you get the vet to see it, the better it could turn out. They might well say leave it for a while or they could use a bandage support to help the limb but it does sound as if it's not developing properly and needs seeing IMV as it's very rare a pup of that age would get sore patches.
What bedding have you got them on?

Spoke to vet this morning, we are trying a splint for a day or two and if no improvement then we think we'll have to pts as it does look more like a deformity rather than a slightly bent leg.

I hope it turns out ok, poor little pup.

Thanks for letting us know, poor pup.
Have to admit, that was my first thought but didn't like to say, that sort of thing does need to come from the people that see it as we can only go by what we're told. Hope it goes on OK, hugs.
