Well - he was def. much, much better than Sat!! Did a fair bit of jumping up and down but settled a lot better esp. when standing with other people and by the end was standing like a donkey holding the huntsman's horse. Also jumped 8 hunt jumps pretty well too. Phew!!

The dreaded day three was bloody awful!! Roll on Sat - hopefully it wasn't a one off!! Thanks for everyone's advice - I felt much braver getting on today when I realised it wasn't going to always be as bad as Sat!!

For some reason when you hunt a horse, that's not been before, it takes them a couple of times to realise what goes on and usually on the third outing they realise that there's cantering and galloping going on and when that happens with 10+ other horses it soon gets their blood up. Therefore by the third time they've got an idea of what happens and therefore tend to anticipate things and get wound up - sometimes really misbehaving.
