4x4 Road tax - Sorry for the stupid question

Am looking at getting a 4x4 something like a fourtrak. Does anybody know what the new road tax prices are?

I haven't been paying attention, sorry for the question!

I have heard that the new road tax hike for 4x4s only affects those registered since last year and older 4x4s stay at the original price

As long as the vehicle is registered before 2001 you will not be affected by the huge hikes.

just taxed my Fourtrack 'R' reg, for 12 months and it was £180. Hope that helps.

It's not 2001 it's 2006. Look on the DVLA web site, it's vehicles registered before the beginnning (think its may) 2006 and it would be fine anyway as it's only category G vehicles. My 300tdi discovery (2.5litre) is a category E.
