4x4 vs horsebox

Ive got a 3.5ton horsebox and I dont use it a lot (mainly because Ive not got a horse at the moment) but Im just wondering about selling it in the spring and getting a cheap 4x4 instead. Would it be cheaper to run a 4x4? Altho I do do a lot of miles for work.

If you have a B+E licence the perhaps you would be better with a towing vehicle and trailer in your situation
