5 and not 6

looked at a horse today. he is pretty much perfect. was told he was 6 but on looking on the passport he is only 5, should this effect my desicion?

he behaves and rides like a 10 year old, safe as houses

i dont want it to put me off but should it?

Don't see why it would , if it's safe as houses what difference will a year make?

Is he 6 this year? most horse people will say the horse is 'x' from the 1st jan of the year they turn that age.

Why should it matter whether he's 5 or 6?

If everything about him suits you then go for it.

Thank you. hes was five this month. hes pretty perfect so i dont think it is going to put me off
