Hi,

We are due to have a pony vetted next week. how long does it usually take to receive a vet report/know if he has passed? So I can look at travel arrangements and also insurance prior to him coming home.

we can't be present, we made the long journey to view but it is too long a journey to visit again for the check.

Thankyou

The vets tell you immediately their findings, and may even stop half-way if there is a real issue or may just stop to discuss before moving on. The written report may take a couple of days.

Just for note it is 5 stage as there are 5 parts to the vetting :)

The vet should call you as soon as s/he's finished, or as soon as s/he finds a problem. The written report may take longer, but you should get the results immediately. Is it a vet you know? They shouldn't discuss the findings of the vetting with the current owner, until they have discussed it with you, as you are paying for the vetting.
