We paid £276 in November which included the call out fee.

when i sold my old mare they got 5 star vetting.

first he checked her eyes, heart etc in stable and took her temperature. he also checked her legs and body over for cuts/scars lumps and bumps etc.

then we had to trot her up 5 times before she was ridden. once to see what she was like then he flexed every leg in turn and trotted her up after that.

then we had to ride/lunge her for 20-30 mins. i rode just walk trot canter then he asked me to open her out in trot and canter to use all her muscles in ways she didnt everyday, then he took her heart rate again as soon as i had done this.

then he made us take her tack off, and then he we had to trot her up 5 more times again. once normally then again he flexed every leg in turn and trotted her up after that. this was to see if working them caused any slight lameness or stiffness anywhere,

then that was basically everything and she passed with flying colours

hope this helps. tried not to make it an essay lol

When I bought my horse the vetting was exactley like neeny5 said but at the end the vet also wanted to see him trot on a 10 meter circle on concrete.
Very thorough vet though... luckily even after that he passed.
Also took blood
Cost £300

I paid £250 for a 5 * vetting, just check carefully the vet you use if you dont know of them. i didnt, he missed alot of the vetting out, I didnt know what the vetting would entail, and 4 months later I am left with a horse with a possible back problem that bucks!
