Never in 40 years has a vet asked how old my horses tetanus jab was, or given anti-toxin when stitching up wounds on a horse vaccinated less than 2 years before.

I just had a gander on the Horse Vet Group on Facebook and they recommend anti-tet if no vaccinations have been administered or a booster if an injury has occured 6 months post vaccination. They also recommend yearly vaccinations, not bi-annually.
I'm guessing most vets on that group are in the US, so they may have different vaccinations to us.
I will ask my vet and let you know what they say as I'm questioning my previous vets advice now!
