600d v 1200d - Is there a noticable difference?

I'm having to replace my horses rugs as they are all far too small and I'm planning on getting Amigo's as HW rugs really suit her. Obviously the 600d rugs are slightly cheaper than the 1200d - I'm just wondering if its false economy and for an extra £10ish per rug I'd be better getting the thicker material? If I had the money I'd be getting Rhino's but I am poor at the moment!

I was just wondering if it really is worth the extra money. I keep thinking maybe I should pay more and get the thicker Amigo, then I think I should just get Rhino ones and the bill keeps going up and up!

Yes - I have to buy 2000D rugs for my destructive beastie

However if you own a saint who's rugs last for 10 years whilst the thugs go through one a season, then you don't need the thicker denier.

Yes, there is a big difference in the 1200d - ive also got that intergrated hoods, much warmer than the detachable ones.

Ive got the medium weight 1200d plus and i will be buying the heavy weight 1200d plus when it gets colder. I think they are real value for money as you can get all three weights for nearly the price of one rambo!

Thanks all - it sends me dizzy all these new rugs you can now get. In my day there was one type (new zealand canvas!) and they either had it on or off

I've just bought a lightweight, medium and heavy in 1200D Amigo

I wouldn't buy a 600D rug again. My horse trashed the last one in a few months. I now have 1200D ones and they are still good as new after 5 years.

I went straight for the 1200d and I'm pleased with it after a months use. I think I'll get him another next year (He'll have outgrown his 6'3" by easter!
