I'm in a complete dilemma. Last year I had a lovely lorry built, but my life has become so hectic that I haven't even had time to use it. Should I sell it now before it's even had a horse in it and just hire one if ever I need one, or should I keep it cos I'll never ever have the chance to have another one that's so nice? If I do decide to sell - where's the best place to advertise, apart from H&H?

I guess if it was me money would be the decider do you need the cash for something else,I dont know your circumstances but life is short and its very important to make time to do things you realy want too ....as I approach 50 the number of people I know who's
plans for the future are smashed by ill health ,brakeups and family problems seem to increase!!!.. anyway selling horse and hound is widely read ,horse deals ,Ebay is good as you can put deatail and lots of big pictures.. good luck.....

If you don't really need the money that would be realised on selling the lorry then keep it. The money has been spent & that's it. To have it available whenever you need it is a real bonus. Renting a lorry can be extremely expensive, I remember looking at renting one to attend Scope Festival of Showjumping for a week & that would have cost me around £1000. Renting for a day or a weekend is also extremely expensive.

If you decide to keep the lorry ensure that it's well greased up, the batterries are kept topped up & you have an isolator fitted that way everything will be protected.
