With all the recent posts I've been worrying about the possibility of being overweight on my very elderly lorry but I've just found her test certificate and she weighed in at a total of 5285Kg with 12 wooden railway sleepers in the back. So I've got plenty to play with!

*skips off, singing happily, to try to arrange some new insurance and breakdown cover*

I take the sleepers were to simulate the weight of the neds? Or maybe just having a lie down?

*Is still chuffed*

Sleepers were in because she'd failed on her brakes (badly) the previous test and we were told to put a load on to help with the testing.

She has minimal living, although she does have a cassette loo, and when she was tested had all four Oakley style full depth partitions in. The living is one of the reasons I was worried. I have a caravan interior to fit and didn't want to do it if we were going to be too heavy. The living will be a bit odd anyway because I'm trying to keep the facility to carry a couple of horses and a carriage or four horses or just a couple of horses and have a decent living space. So everything is crammed in one end with a movable partition. Not the most "Homes and Gardens" of interiors but it will be flexible and do all we want.
