I cant believe how much she's grown, and to think i was worried she was a really small weedy 1st foal, she's certainly caught up. she's such a super temprement, really quiet and gentle, she winnies as soon as i arrive and says a little good bye when i go, really makes me wish i lived at the yard.

anyone any ideas on what to use to keep the dredded horse flies off them, her mom is really sensitive to them so has to wear her rug 100% of the time, but they are still biting her teats :( and little squizzel is being bitten lots, but thankfully doesnt seem to react to them. just wish i could keep them off them all, they're horrible and really really bite hard !

thanks guys, she's certainly filled out and upwards, her knees and hocks are the same height as her mothers already, the mare is 15.2 so hopefully the little filly will get at least that height. to top it all she's got the most amazing temprement, she just loves to come over and just stands and waits for a little fuss, she's so gentle, my last foal was a colt and he was a typical colt, all over you and pushy too, this little filly is so sweet, really enjoying the difference.
 
thanks all, she really is something special, in temprement and character, the looks department isnt bad either !

she's a pure bred andalusian, i brought the mare over from spain as a foal nearly 5 years ago, but due to a field accident as a 2 year old she cant be ridden :-( her dad is a beautiful stallion called Elegante - he's stunning ! he's got the same character as the little filly, he was so well behaved when i went to view him, the guy who looks after him just asked me to hold him on the yard with a head collar and lead rope, with loads of other horses around the yard, i was sooo worried he would just decide to go check the others out, but he just stood there, relaxed as you like, happy to just say hello and get a rub and fuss. he really impressed me, he looked stunning as well, which helped. pickie link to her dad hope it works
